Bikes N' Roses Program
Cutouts (2).png

Hosted by our Bikes N' Roses bike shop, this program provides youth an opportunity to learn how to build and repair bikes while developing communication and entrepreneurial skills. Youth in the program work through a comprehensive bike mechanics curriculum, community organizing opportunities, and make connections to industry partners through field trips and hosting visiting professionals.

Finally, the bike program applies collaborative, technical learning directly to community impact. For example, Austin youth are being trained to engage residents and neighbors through intergenerational free bike repair pop-ups and community rides this spring and summer.

Returning students can apply for intern roles to take on more responsibilities and embrace leadership opportunities. In partnership with After School Matters, many youth receive a stipend for their time in this program.
